About
Producer, mixer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, man about town: all these terms describe the musical powerhouse that is Max Coane. A product of his environment—Los Angeles by way of New York—Coane combines the best of both coasts, as well as the best of both analogue and digital techniques, to make the highest quality records possible.
Devoted to a life in the studio at a young age, Coane has managed to amass an impressive list of clients. He has produced or engineered records for the likes of Jack’s Mannequin, The Rocket Summer, Oh No Not Stereo, and many others.
Also a talented instrumentalist, Coane has been known to lend his skills to artists on keyboards, drums, bass, guitar and vocals. He believes that making records is a collaborative process, and that bands and producers need to come into the studio on even footing, with the only goal being to produce great songs—not feed egos.
Songs being the most important component of the recording process, Max has been fortunate enough to write for and co-write with many talented artists, including Hit The Lights, Brighten, Kyle Patrick (The Click 5) and more.
