Why use PR anyway?
- It provides a credible, objective message that is highly valued by the audience
- It informs fans and allows them to learn more about a band, getting them more involved
- It increases a band’s exposure and recognition, thereby increasing the likelihood of sales and concert attendance
- It generates press coverage that can be used as leverage for live performance and tour opportunities, among other things
- It promotes and protects a band’s reputation and image
- It’s more cost-effective than advertising

Portland, OR alternative indie rock group Water & Bodies will be bringing their captivating live show to SXSW in Austin, TX, with a full West Coast tour surrounding the event. Touring alongside The Trophy Fire, the band plans to play a fair amount of new material while on the road.

Currently recording a double EP, Water & Bodies are picking up right where their acclaimed debut “Light Year” left off. Guitarist Aaron Tollefson views the new batch of songs in two major colors: “There are five or six songs that come off as light blue to me, and five or six that feel more like orange.”

The first new EP, tentatively titled “Sky Blue,” will display a mellower, pop-enhanced sound, where the second EP, “Orange,” is expected to include songs with a more classic rock, upbeat, blues-driven orientation. As with all Water & Bodies material, the new tracks will have a very uplifting, positive message throughout.

Two live videos of new material have recently been added to the band’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/waterandbodies, and a proper music video for a new single is slated to be filmed this spring with producer Matthew Brush.

Los Angeles pop-rockers Scarlet Grey will be bringing their rousing live show across the pond to London this September. The band will be playing a residency at Monto Water Rats in King’s Cross, where they will perform every Wednesday of the month at 8 pm.

After spending the past year touring the US in support of their six-song EP “Fancy Blood,” the five-piece is excited to be able to embrace their burgeoning British fan base. “The UK music scene has always set the standard for guitar-based pop and rock music. It’s a genuine honor to be a part of such an incredibly cool tradition,” says lead singer Ben Grey.

The last year has seen Scarlet Grey playing with Weezer, Cold War Kids, The Raveonettes, Rogue Wave, Yellowcard, Cartel, Young The Giant, Rooney, and Nico Vega, as well as embarking on two back-to-back US tours with AFI.
